Our second stop in Montana was

the Enchanted Room in Glendive.  A visually deceiving "little" fabric and gift shop that is packed with every sort of fabric that a quilter could need.
Hard at work
It is impossible to convey through pictures and words the atmosphere of this store.  It really is something special.  It is inviting and welcoming, warm and cozy, creative and unbelievable and still so much more.  I think that you could spend a day in this store and still not see all that there is to see.  The hanging quilts on display are a wonderful source of inspiration.  It is hard to get a great picture of the quilts, but here are a few.

The Enchanted Room has a huge variety of batiks. I wouldn't be able to guess the number of bolts in the store.

Before we left The Enchanted Room Laura was nice enough to take a couple photos of our group in front of the store.

There is so much more to this store than I took photos of.  You'll have to experience it yourself one day!
One more note.  The Makoshika Quilt Festival will be hosted by the Patches on the Prairie Quilt Guild in Glendive showing April 27 & 28 featuring Traci Marvel of Bigfork Bay Cotton Co.
Thanks for stopping by.
